About Chemistry

Chemistry is a private equity-backed, technology-enabled talent strategy consultancy. Our intent is to create opportunities for everyone to be brilliant at work. We do this by working with ambitious global business leaders to answer possibly their most important question, “Do I have the talent I need to achieve my commercial objectives?”

It is a unique and exciting time to join Chemistry, as our growth trajectory means there are lots of opportunities to grow and develop yourself as we work together on scaling the business.

As a Talent Strategy Consultancy, we use our pioneering What Great Looks Like (WGLL™) methodology to create unique insights and positive business impacts for our clients.

Everything we do is focused on understanding who can perform in any given context. By analyzing comprehensive behavioural, attitudinal and psychometric data, we are able to outline core capabilities required for business impact, key performance indicators for specific roles and to work with clients to remove institutional factors obstructing performance.

About the Role

As a Client Partner, you will position Chemistry as a strategic partner to ambitious business leaders by unlocking a data-driven relationship between their talent strategy and their business strategy. You will partner with leaders in major private sector organisations to help them solve their most challenging talent issues. Acting as their trusted advisor, you will work closely with them to understand the problems they are facing as well as what they are trying to achieve. You will also partner with colleagues across Chemistry teams to design the best solutions for our clients that deliver measurable value and impact.

You will be at the forefront of Chemistry’s growth and will be responsible for generating new business as well as growing existing accounts to support Chemistry’s scaling and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Pursue and cultivate stakeholder relationships so that you understand the personal motivations/ambitions of your key contacts and act as a trusted advisor to them
  • Ensure you have a thorough understanding of the client’s strategic problems by being willing to challenge them on what they are trying to achieve and working with them to clarify their goals
  • Achieve a sales target of £2-3m (depending on the client portfolio) through developing and originating work through a mix of existing and new global logos (FTSE 100/250 and leading global organisations)
  • Proactively generate new leads through client referrals and networking, as well as acting on leads generated by marketing activities to expand Chemistry’s footprint in the market
  • Lead an account planning process that brings together the best of Chemistry to articulate the value we can deliver to your client over a multi-year journey
  • Ensure profitability for your accounts
  • Take responsibility for meeting monthly and quarterly targets to ensure a steady growth in business revenue
  • Undertake accurate forecasting to enable effective resourcing and financial planning across the organisation
  • Ensure the client’s experience of partnering with Chemistry is positive and the value created over the course of their engagement with Chemistry is both tangible and recognised

Requirements (who are we looking for):

  • You’ve already cultivated a network of business leaders who see you as a trusted advisor. You have the skill and determination to further grow that network under the Chemistry banner
  • You are a first class problem solver and relish the chance to put your mark on the strategic challenges your clients are facing. You naturally think ‘value’ and ‘improvement’ and you have the mental agility to apply this quickly to a new situation.
  • You have an appreciation of the world of talent strategy. You’ll receive a full briefing on Chemistry’s tools and methods on joining and you’ll complement this with your own views on how this part of the consulting market has developed and where it’s going next
  • You have superb written and verbal communication skills. You have authority, yet are naturally humble and regard the success of your projects as always belonging to the clients.
  • Your compelling style enables you to ‘close’ without being forceful. It's the argument that wins the day and you close sales because you’ve got this down to an art.

When we say our intent is to give everyone the opportunity to be brilliant at work, we, of course, extend that to you too. This is why we ensure that our employees have plenty of benefits. Here are some of them:

  • Competitive salary
  • 28 days of holiday + Bank Holidays
  • Pension contribution
  • Healthcare cover
  • Life Insurance
  • Income Protection cover
  • Wellbeing contribution
  • Flexible working, with offices in Central London
  • Working with great colleagues :
