Rosie joined the Chemistry team in February 2010.  She graduated from the University of Leeds in 2008 with a bachelor of science in Psychology.  This in-depth analytical degree has provided her with a true passion for people and an incredible attention to detail.

Rosie has recently returned from a gap-year in South East Asia, during which time she worked as an English Teacher in Thailand and travelled independently through China, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Prior to this trip Rosie had success as an executive search and selection consultant, where she independently started and led the development of a new division, Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals, in which a number of placements were made; a profitable venture in a difficult economic time for recruiters.

Rosie's role at Chemistry has a heavy focus on marketing including all Chemistry social media, PR, website management, events, campaigns and other fun creative things!  Rosie also provides key support to the consulting team.

She is an enthusiastic, driven and astute self-starter, and is passionate about spreading the Chemistry message and getting everyone talking about the industry's best kept secret!

Strength Behaviours

Creating Empathy

Rosie always tests and validates own understanding of another's ideas, feelings or beliefs by using paraphrasing and summary clarification to ensure that their perspective or viewpoint is fully understood. Encourages others to disclose own true ideas, feelings and beliefs through the use of self-disclosure. Is emotionally intelligent and uses this to respond to different individual requirements to encourage openness, commits time and energy to listening and encouraging others to discuss their true thoughts, concerns and feelings.

Processing Information

When making a decision Rosie always compares merits of two or more realistic alternatives, by stating the pros and cons of each. Rosie may create over-arching plan or strategy as a result of this analysis that maximises the benefits and minimises the downsides of the original options. Rosie manages solution comparison as a core part of solution development.

Creating Ideas

Rosie links information relevant to a specific task or issue with information from the wider organisation and/or the external environment to form powerful diagnostic concepts, visions, options or solutions. E.g., sees graduate wastage and customer dissatisfaction as both being caused by a hierarchical structure with too many levels that are unsuited to the organisation's fast moving, competitive environment.
